<p>I&#8217;m telling you, some experts can be HAZARDOUS to your health, your pocketbook and your life.</p>
<p>Obviously not ALL experts are damaging to your well-being but a lot of them are.  </p>
<p>Take the surgeon who operated on my leg, clearly an expert, but seriously NOT the guy to listen to when itcomes to healing and rehab!!</p>
<p>Had I listened to him I would have been doped up on<br />
drugs 2 weeks longer than necessary and not walking<br />
2 MONTHS longer than necessary!!!</p>
<p>Crazy, crazy, crazy!</p>
<p>This episode is dedicated to crappy experts mucking up our heads and limiting our ability to make money, to heal, to lose weight, and a million other things.</p>

<p>This has become my annual thing to kick off the New Year and this year you should join me.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s how you can take the challenge&#8230;..</p>
<p><strong>Rules of 30 in 30</strong></p>
<p>1. You have 30 days to complete 30 adventures. You don&#8217;t have to do 1 per day&#8230;.you just have to have them completed in 30 days.</p>
<p>2. I don&#8217;t really like rules so we don&#8217;t have any more.</p>
<p>3. If the rules are too vague and you have a question post a comment below.</p>
<p><strong>Ideas For Designing Your 30 in 30 List<br />
</strong><br />
1. Asking yourself the following questions:</p>
<ul>
<li>What have I always wanted to learn, do, see, or experience that I just haven&#8217;t gotten around to?</li>
<li>What sort of crazy New Year&#8217;s Resolutions have I made or want to make this year?</li>
<li>Are there any people in my world that could use my attention?</li>
<li>Is there anything I keep putting off?</li>
<li>Are there any random acts of kindness that I&#8217;ve always wanted to do?</li>
<li>What about me? What can I do to treat myself better?</li>
<li>What sort of things would drastically improve my life?</li>
<li>What would make me smile?</li>
<li>What could I do that would give me a warm fuzzy?</li>
<li>What sort of adventure or spice can I add to my life?</li>
</ul>
<p>2. Think about the following areas of your life:  fitness, nutrition, family, sex life, friends, career,<br />
spirituality, education, fun, adventure, hobbies.</p>
<p>How do you want these areas to look? What do you have to do to get them looking that way?</p>
<p>3. If you still need more ideas&#8230;.Here&#8217;s a picture of part of my <em><strong>30 in 30 List </strong></em>(I couldn&#8217;t put the last few on there cuz they&#8217;re a little over the top:-)</p>

<p>She was totally right, it was and still is one big list!</p>
<p>I make at least 2 lists every single day &#8211; these are my power tools. <strong>One keeps me smiling and happy</strong><br />
<strong> and the other, almost like magic, makes things happen.</strong></p>
<p>In this <strong><em>SabrinaLynn Episode</em></strong> I filmed a list making session for ya.  I rolled out of bed, did my a.m. workout, crutched myself to the tea pot and set up the video camera. I didn&#8217;t do my hair or put makeup on (as if I do that for<br />
any of my videos:-)&#8230;.I just did what I do every morning, only this time I filmed it for ya.</p>

You might keep your resolutions this year.</p></blockquote>
<p>Yep&#8230;&#8230;<br />
<strong>You might double your income, find the love of your life (thank god you doubled your income), or finally drop the extra weight you&#8217;ve been carrying around in the &#8216;ol midsection.</strong></p>
<p>I swear theses lists are that powerful and they&#8217;re my New Years Gift to you.</p>

look at you like you&#8217;ve lost your mind.  It&#8217;s so funny how it&#8217;s ok during the<br />
holidays to be all sappy and lovey-dovey.</p>
<p>So&#8230;.I&#8217;m taking full advantage of it.  I&#8217;m telling everyone in my life that I love &#8216;em today&#8230;.YOU included!!</p>

<p>Maybe you&#8217;re a firm believer in energy healing or maybe you&#8217;re a complete skeptic.  In either case you&#8217;ll find the following FACTS very interesting:</p>
<p><strong>Broken Leg, Hospital &amp; Surgery Facts:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Broke my leg (the fibula, near the ankle) at 12pm Thursday (you can hear the full story at the post entitled <a href="http://www.sabrinalynn.com/?p=106">&#8220;How to Ride 45 to Get out of the Woods on a Broken Leg&#8221;</a>, you can also see a few pictures of the nasty looking ankle and the x-rays in that video.)</li>
<li>Went into surgery at 4pm Thursday (they call the procedure &#8220;open reduction internal fixation&#8221;, I call it adding a plate and few pins to create a bionic ankle.)</li>
<li>Doctor releases me from the hospital on Friday afternoon and says, &#8220;You will NOT be walking on this leg for 3 months.  Sabrina&#8230;I mean it!  NO weight on this leg!&#8221;</li>
<li>Doctor, 3 nurses, and a woman I met in the pharmacy who had the exact same surgery say to me, &#8220;Do not skip a dose of the pain medication for the first 1-2 weeks.  If you do you&#8217;re gonna be sorry!&#8221;</li>
<li>I leave the hospital all doped up at 3pm Friday</li>
</ul>
<div><strong>Energy Healing Workshop Facts:</strong></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>The 3 day Workshop started Friday night (yes the same day I was released) and ended Sunday.  I attended all 3 days via Live Feed over the internet.</li>
<li>On Saturday, during the conference, I was chosen as a &#8220;subject&#8221; for a DISTANT energy healing session (I was in Wisconsin, the conference was in California).</li>
<li>Durning the 5 minute session those attending the conference pulled my energy field to them and worked on me.  My leg and foot immediately got hot and tingly and I felt a bit out of my body &#8211; very strange sensation, to say the least.</li>
<li>Immediately after the healing I stopped taking ALL pain meds  and felt little to no pain.</li>
</ul>

<div><strong>Post Workshop Facts:</strong></div>
<div>
<ul>
<li>After Saturday I didn&#8217;t touch the pain meds again (that was only 48 after surgery).</li>
<li>12 days after surgery doc takes x-rays, removes my cast and tells me I can start walking in 2 weeks (that would be 1 month after the accident&#8230;.not the 3 months he initially told me after surgery.)</li>
<li>Doc says, &#8220;Whatever you&#8217;re doing, keep doing it.&#8221;</li>
<li>14 days after surgery I&#8217;m moving my foot and lightly (very lightly) walking on it (with crutches and the big storm trooper boot thing.)</li>
</ul>

<div><strong>Other Healing Treatments I Did After Surgery:</strong></div>

<li>During the first week post surgery I spent a lot time meditating under my healing tree (you can see the tree in the blog post<a href="http://www.sabrinalynn.com/?p=106">&#8220;How to Ride 45 to Get out of the Woods on a Broken Leg&#8221;</a>).</li>
<li>I doubled up on Calcium, Vitamin D3, Vitamin C, and Glucosamine</li>
<li>I continued to workout daily&#8230;in a VERY creative, somewhat awkward manner.  (I think I&#8217;ll film one of these sessions for an upcoming blog post&#8230;.you&#8217;ll get a real kick out of it!)</li>

<p>It&#8217;s so fun to be friends with die hard Packer fans!!</p>
<p>Today I was watching the game with a good friend of mine who bleeds green and gold.</p>
<p>At half time we got to talking about the video I made today entitled, <em><strong>&#8220;No More Excuses &#8211; How to</strong></em><br />
<em><strong> Find Purpose in Your Life.&#8221;</strong></em></p>
<p>It was a short talk&#8230;.I&#8217;m not the sort of girl to distract a Cheesehead while the game is on.</p>
<p>The short and sweet of it was:</p>
<ul>
<li>You can find your life&#8217;s purpose in the midst of your misery.</li>
<li>Being honest with yourself is the hardest thing to do but it&#8217;s the only thing that will lead you to meaning, purpose and joy.</li>
<li>And just as I was about to give him the other 3 secrets to finding one&#8217;s purpose the game started back up.</li>
</ul>
<p>This little conversation was followed by a lot of swearing until finally the ridiculous game ended.</p>
<p>At that moment, my friend looked at me and said,</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>&#8220;This is the worst day ever. The Packers lose and my life has no purpose. I gotta go home.&#8221;</strong></p>
<p>I laughed until I cried. He smiled a bit, gave me a hug, and asked where he could find the video I made.</p>
<p>I&#8217;m seriously hoping this video makes him smile.</p>

<p><strong>Letter From Hospital Bed</strong></p>
<pre>It's roughly 4am and I'm writing this to you from my
hospital bed (definitely not the coolest place I've
ever stayed but you can't beat the service!!)

I wound up here after riding my mountain bike
into a ravine earlier today and busting my leg.

Who knew that riding into a ravine could score
you a platinum plate and 5 platinum pins?

Lucky me!!

So the part of the story I really want to share with you
is how I was able to ride my bike 45 minutes to
get my ass out of the woods.

I would love it if have the ability to write all the crazy powerful
things I said to myself to motivate me to get back on that
bike and start peddling it to the car with a mangled leg
but I don't.

Sometimes the written word and I just don't get along.

I'm afraid if I tried to write this story for you I'd sound
sound like an arrogant, self-centered yahoo who's blowing
smoke up your backside.

And that is not at all why I'm sharing this story with you.

I'm sharing this story with you so you too will have these kick butt
(maybe even save your life one day) mental powertools in your
toolbox....should you ever have to use them
to get yourself out of a messy situation.

So that was the letter I wrote at 4am in the morning.
Yesterday I realized I had to make a video so I could share
the story and the mental power tools with you.  I did.

P.S.  For all my squeamish friends there's a very short clip in the
video with a picture of the mangled leg but I do give you a warning
for when to close your eyes.

P.P.S.  In my opinion, the best part of the video comes at the
